Fedhasa Bursary Opportunities on 2018 for Current Hospitality Students and Trainees Inside the Fedhasa Cape’s Scope
Since 1949, Fedhasa has been representing South African’s hospitality industries, in particular, every sector that is related to accommodation and food services. Such long histories further prove on Fedhasa’s positioning as both the sole South African’s hospitality-based company pioneer and one of the influential forces of South African government’s food industry-related policies as stated in its grand vision.

Those visions are then supported by Fedhasa’s objectives to synergise South African’s hospitality industries through many ways, including developing a bursary programme. This Fedhasa-funded bursary programme is basically Fedhasa’s initiative to promote sustainable South African’s hospitality environmental growths and developments, particularly in the Western and Northern Cape areas in which it mainly operates.

Fedhasa’s Bursary Programme’s Schemes and Requirements
In recent years, Fedhasa has committed a total bursary value of R100,000 to fund tuition fees at its partnering colleges, training institutions, or training providers. Since there are and will be a large number of colleges, training institutions, or training providers that cooperate with Fedhasa’s bursary supports, Fedhasa will have to monitor students in the participating institutions during June and December every year.

As a result, those who are no longer qualified for Fedhasa’s bursary programme, such as not making any further academic signs of progress, will not be eligible for Fedhasa’s supports on the next years. In this case, Fedhasa will demand the participating educational institutions to give back their already-given money and/or disburse it to other students at the same institutions whom Fedhasa deem as competent.

Knowing these aforementioned conditions, candidates should satisfy these following criteria in order to receive Fedhasa’s bursary programme:

• Be a South African-originated current hospitality student of Fedhasa Cape member’s training institutions or trainee in any of Fedhasa Cape’s group corporate members with either one of a completion of 2nd-year studies or current on-going final-year studies.
• Have overall outstanding academic marks and pledge to continue progressing academically.
• Demonstrate and vividly describe their university-related funding capacities.
• Able to write a sufficient Motivation Letter outlining their reasons for applying for Fedhasa’s bursary programme and provide a copy of their most recent CV and recommendation letters from their lecturers or teachers aside from fill in the application form completely.

Fedhasa’s Bursary Programme’s Application Processes
Application processes to Fedhasa’s bursary programme begin when the candidates are downloading its bursary’s application form through Fedhasa’s main bursary page. Candidates are then filling in all necessary fields there, attaching all of their required documents along with the already-completed application form, and mailing them to [email protected] or faxing them to 021 552 3466 prior to the bursary’s closing dates.

Shortlisted applicants will then be asked to undergo September’s interview sessions. A few days after that, they should have known the outcome by checking whether they are informed as Fedhasa’s bursary awardee or not.

Fedhasa’s Bursary Programme’s Closing Dates on 2018
