Kantey & Templer is an engineering firm established in March 1953. The formation was initiated under the supervision and dedication of their two founding fathers, Basil Kantey and Gerry van Geusau. Kantey & Templer mainly moved in the fields of Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering. Over the years, the firm has garnered great positive attention for their high level of technical expertise and practical knowledge. With their main office in Cape Town, Kantey & Templer is ready to service both the country and the rest of the world.

About Kantey & Templer – Engineering Bursaries 2020-2021
Kantey & Templer is providing generous bursaries towards Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering students who required financial assistance to study. The establishment has had an astonishing record of allocating a massive amount of ZAR900,000 specifically for bursaries, in which 80% of them are given to previously disadvantaged students who heavily require financial assistance. The bursary programmes is dedicated towards tertiary students who are enrolled in any accredited University or University of Technology in South Africa. While academic merits will be used for consideration, the bursary will mainly prioritize students originating from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

Selected recipients of the Kantey & Templer Engineering Bursaries will be provided with coverage for the total amount of their academic tuition expenses, and personal allowances for their prescribed study materials. In the event that the candidates requires accommodation, the committee will consider providing coverage for it as well. All financial aids will be directly paid to the students’ respective academic institutions (except for book allowances, which will be given directly to the bursar.)

The Kantey & Templer Engineering Bursary has a list of qualifications that must be fulfilled before you can proceed to start on your application procedure. Each of these items will determine whether you will get into the busrary or not. The Kantey & Templer Engineering Bursary Requirements are as follows:

  • Must be enrolled in any accredited University or University of Technology in South Africa
  • Currently pursuing an education in any BSc Degree or Technical Diplomas, specializing in the fields of either Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
  • Bursaries will only be applied towards a first degree or diploma (first years of studies will be considered)
  • Must have accomplished the first year of their tertiary education, with an astonishing academic track record to their name
  • Bursaries may be renewed on a yearly basis, provided they are able to maintain their academic achievements.

How to Apply Kantey & Templer – Engineering Bursary 2020-2021
Interested candidates of the Kantey & Templer Bursary may proceed to download the Official Application Form. Once you have downloaded the application form, be sure to fill it in with complete and accurate information. Candidates discovered to be falsifying their personal information, or leaving any parts incomplete, will not be eligible for the bursary programme. Selected awardees of the Kantey & Templer Bursary will be obliged to working in any of the available Kantey & Templer offices. The total duration of the required employment will be twelve months – in this case, twelve months is equal to one entire academic year in which you were subjected to the bursary programme. It is highly advised that this employment is conducted once you have successfully graduated from your respective degrees or diplomas. On top of that, awardees are also obliged to partake in the vacation work.
