About MTN Bursaries 2020
MTN is currently offering a very special bursary programme that is truly unlike any other. The company is offering a programme called the Sol Plaatje Institute for Media Leadership (SPI) programme. What makes it so special is that all selected recipients of this programme will be given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study at the Rhodes University’s School of Journalism and Media Studies. Through this programme, young individuals from South Africa will be given a spot to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in the subject of Media Management.

That’s not all! Well-deserving recipients of this bursary programme will be granted with generous benefits that will truly motivate awardees to achieve the best in their studies. The bursary benefits include:

  • Fully-paid PDMM tuition expenses
  • Stipends for school materials
  • Accommodation at Rhodes University
  • Free medical insurance
  • Personal allowance, courtesy of MTN.

Under this bursary programme, selected candidates will be required to undergo through the PDMM progarmme, which is a one-year course that exposes students to the world of the media industry. Under this course, students will be taught the tricks of the trade when it comes to working in the media industry, which will truly benefit them should they wish to pursue a media-related career in the future. With the right amount of theoretical knowledge, as well as practical skills learning, PDMM is an extremely beneficial programme for young, ambitious individuals.

PDMM can be considered as the equivalence of an Honors Degree. The programme itself will consist of 8 modules that all participants must strictly follow. After you’re redirected to website, you’ll have two options: register for an account, or login instantly. If you don’t have an account on the website yet, you must create one beforehand.
