Rand Water Bursary Programmes 2020

Rand Water Profile
The Rand Water company is an establishment that is well-known for providing water supplies in huge bulks to the vast population in the entire South African nation. Realizing the importance and huge responsibilities that they hold, Rand Water does everything it can to make sure that each citizen in the country is able to access to one of humans most important necessities: water. Rand Water was inspired by the need to come up with a solution to provide water in an efficient manner, especially since the city of Johannesburg is not built on a river or a dam. Therefore, the company is forced to come up with other innovative ways in regards to the distribution of water, – not just in the city itself, but in the entire country as well.

The South African raised company started off its operations in the region of Gauteng. Soon enough, since its establishment in the year 1903, the Rand Water has successfully distributed water in bulks to other parts of South Africa. As the nation’s largest water utility, Rand Water constantly does quality checks on the water that they provide to people. This means that the company pays meticulous attention to the process of how the water is extracted and produced. With their successful water distribution project – a water pipeline that spans more than 3000km, and distributes to at least 58 water reservoirs – on a daily basis, there is almost a huge amount of 35000 million liters of water distributed to the the local people of the nation. This can ranged from metropolitan cities, to even the most rural parts in the area.
