The SACAA Aviation Bursary is provided for students who have ambitions of working in the Aviation Industry. However, due to the rigorous activities and high demands that comes with this line of work, incoming candidates must first double check with the eligibility criteria that has been determined by the committee beforehand. All of these items below play a crucial role in seeing whether you will be accepted by the bursary programme or not.   • Officially recognized as South African citizen
  • Have a remarkable academic history
  • Have any either of these educational qualifications:
    • Pilot Training
      • Pure Maths Level 5
      • Physical Science Level 5
      • English Level 5
    • Aircraft Aeronautical Engineering
      • Pure Maths Level 6
      • PhysIcal Science Level 6
      • English Level 5
    • Maintenance Engineering
      • Physical Science Level 5
      • English Level 5
      • Pure Maths Level 5

How to Apply SACAA (South African Civil Aviation Authority) – Aviation Bursary 2020
If you meet all of the aforementioned requirements, now’s your time to register for the SACAA Aviation Bursary. To begin, all incoming candidates must first check the availability status of the bursary programme. You can do so by visiting the SACAA Vacancies Portal. If your bursary scheme is not available at the time of search, don’t get your hopes down just yet. You can always come back to the portal anytime in the future to see if the programme is open for applications. However, if it is accepting applications at the time of search, you can proceced to download the the Official SACAA Bursary Application Website.

Once you have downloaded your application forms, be sure to have it filled out with only correct and accurate information. Additionally, your application forms must be fully complete. Candidates found to be providing false information about themselves will immediately be disqualified from the application procedure. Similarly, if your application is not complete, the committee will not be regarded by the committee.

After you have your application forms all set up, you will need to attach several documents to support your application procedure. The list of documents include:

  • A valid copy of your Identity Document
  • Your most recent academic transcript
  • Your most recent Matric or school result slips
  • A letter of motivation explaining why you deserve this bursary
  • Valid proof of your parents or guardians’ household income or affidavit
  • An elaborate explanation or proof that you require financial support
