In realising its vision, this previously-known department as the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism doesn&#8217;t only protect, conserve, and improve South African&#8217;s environment and natural resources. Rather, it also provides leadership-based programmes in environmental management and sustainable global community&#8217;s nature conservation and protection.<\/p>\n<p>Those programmes initiated by the Department of Environmental Affairs make the Department of Environmental Affairs become the South African&#8217;s environmental custodians and ambassadors. Not only that it serves its stakeholders and programme participants with integrity, but the Department of Environmental Affairs&#8217; &#8220;Batho Pele&#8221; or &#8220;People First&#8221; driving philosophy also become its main driving force to always perform at its peak in every programme, including the bursary programme as noted in this article.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Department of Environmental Affairs&#8217; Bursary Programme Schemes and Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Department of Environmental Affairs&#8217; main bursary programme scheme is a full-time bursary programme that is meant to enhance South African&#8217;s youth continual development in public and private sectors-based employment in the future, as well as establishing effective systems internally and externally to cultivate high-quality lifelong learning culture among those youths.<\/p>\n<p>In doing so, the Department of Environmental Affairs pledges to disburse bursary funds to previously-disadvantaged South African people who have passed their first Undergraduate year and those who have registered for the Postgraduate years in different fields of studies. These fields of studies are among the funded bursary fields by the Department of Environmental Affairs, as advertised in their online website, the national newspaper, or any other printed media:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Environmental Law<\/li>\n<li>Chemistry\/ Chemical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Marine Biology and Marine Sciences<\/li>\n<li>Geographic Information Systems<\/li>\n<li>Statistics<\/li>\n<li>and much more (refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.environment.gov.za\/careers\/bursaries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">the Department of Environmental Affairs&#8217; main bursary page<\/a> for more completed Undergraduate and Postgraduate study fields that are funded by the Department of Environmental Affairs&#8217; bursary funds)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition for being South African&#8217;s previously disadvantaged first Undergraduate year-graduates and registered Postgraduate students in any of the aforementioned study disciplines, applicants for the Department of Environmental Affairs should also support their application with these following documents:<\/p><!--CusAdsVi2-->\n<ul>\n<li>Motivation letters that stated the reasons for the applicants&#8217; suitabilities in getting funded by the Department of Environmental Affairs&#8217; bursary funds.<\/li>\n<li>Certified copies of the entire qualifications, most updated academic records, applicants, and parents and\/or guardians&#8217; ID cards.<\/li>\n<li>Proofs of parents and\/or guardians&#8217; income, or Affidavit if neither one were working.<\/li>\n<li>Proofs of the applicants&#8217; deceased parents.<\/li>\n<li>Proofs of registration in the chosen Institute of Higher Learning (for students who are already enrolled or registered).<\/li>\n<li>Letter of Acceptances for first-year students (will be given first priority).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply for the Department of Environmental Affairs&#8217; Bursary Programme<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Department of Environmental Affairs&#8217; bursary programme application is done by visiting its official webpage and attaching all necessary documents as noted in the official bursary information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Opening and Closing Dates for the Department of Environmental Affairs&#8217; Bursary Programme In 2020<\/strong><br \/>\nThe bursary programme offered by the Department of Environmental Affairs is open year-round, including in 2020.
