It is hoped that through the initiatives conducted by the establishment, they are able to meet the local government sectors needs for individuals with scarce skills sets. Considered as one of the 21 SETAs available in Souht Africa, LGSETA is directly supervised under the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).<\/p>\n<p><strong>About LGSETA (Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority) Bursaries 2020-2021<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority (LGSETA) is offering <a href=\"https:\/\/bursaryupdate.co.za\/\">bursaries<\/a> towards students who would like to receive financial assistance. This programme allows well-deserving students to push through their studies without having to think about the monetary aspects of their academic pursuits. As per the agreement with the Department of Higher Education and Training, the bursary will only accommodate these following LGSETA Scarce and Critical Skills courses below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Policy and Planning Manager<\/li>\n<li>Civil Engineer<\/li>\n<li>Accountant (General)<\/li>\n<li>Chief Financial Officer<\/li>\n<li>Civil Engineering Technician<\/li>\n<li>Construction Project Manager<\/li>\n<li>Paramedic<\/li>\n<li>Urban and Regional Planner<\/li>\n<li>Internal Audit Manager<\/li>\n<li>Compliance Officer (Risk Officer)<\/li>\n<li>Legal Advisor\/Officer<\/li>\n<li>Electrician (General)<\/li>\n<li>Building Construction Supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Town Planning Technician<\/li>\n<li>Water Quality Technician<\/li>\n<li>Civil Engineering Technologist<\/li>\n<li>Water Plant Operator<\/li>\n<li>Plumber (General)<\/li>\n<li>Community Development Worker<\/li>\n<li>Fire Fighter<\/li>\n<li>Internal Auditor<\/li>\n<li>GIS Specialist<\/li>\n<li>Finance Clerk\/Administrator<\/li>\n<li>Project Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Final selections will be made based on these these following preferences below as well:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>South African Citizens<\/li>\n<li>Previously Disadvantaged Individuals<\/li>\n<li>Unemployed Youth<\/li>\n<li>People with Disabilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bursaries are open towards students who are planning to continue their studies in any Public Universities, TVET Colleges, or Universities of Tehcnology. Additionally, they must be studying in South Africa. Selected awardeees of the bursary will be granted a total amount of ZAR 50 000 to cover several student-related expenses, such as registration fees, tuition expenses, prescribed study materials, and accommodation costs on a yearly basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LGSETA (Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority) Bursary Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nTo apply for the LGSETA Bursary, all incoming candidates must be able to fulfill the qualifications that comes with the programme. Each of these items below will determine whether you will be accepted by the bursary or not. Therefore, please pay attention to all of the requirements that have been standardized below:<\/p><!--CusAdsVi2-->\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates must currently be unemployed<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must currently be between the ages of 18-35 years old<\/li>\n<li>Candidates must be admitted into an accredited public institution<\/li>\n<li>Candidates who have received a bursary from another institution must notify the LGSETA beforehand &#8211; if this is the case, LGSETA holds all rights to withdraw the financial asisstance<\/li>\n<li>The LGSETA Bursary is an annual programme that can be renewed on a year basis<\/li>\n<li>Must be an official citizen of South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Must have a full qualification that is recognized on the NQF\/NCV\/N Levels standard (must above a year.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply LGSETA (Local Government Sector Education and Training Authority) Bursary 2020-2021<\/strong><br \/>\nThink you have what it takes for the LGSETA Bursary? Then it&#8217;s time to begin your application procedure! To start off, all incoming candidates must first visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/lgseta.org.za\/careers\/vacancies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">LGSETA Careers Portal<\/a>, and click &#8220;View All Jobs&#8221; to see whether the bursary is currently open for applications or not. If they are, you may now proceed to download the <a href=\"https:\/\/vacancyupdate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/LGSETA-Bursary-Form.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Official Application Form<\/a>. Make sure that you complete everything that is asked on the application forms.
