After examining the high potential of the mining environment in the country, where it is oozing with opportunities to generate wealth, employment and contribute to other sectors, the DMRE\u00a0 was set up since the year 1897 under the supervision of the Registrar of Mining Rights.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the department&#8217;s goals, the DMRE aims to produce minerals of high-quality but are also environmentally friendly. The purpose behind making use of South Africa&#8217;s mining potential is not to exploit it, but to be able to contribute to the social welfare of the citizens by making good use of the said potential. Not only will this improve the economic levels of the nation, but also generate more employment opportunities as well.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About DMRE (Department of Mineral Resources and Energy) Bursaries 2020<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) is providing multiple bursary schemes especially towards female students enrolled in South African universities. Additionally, as an inclusive bursary, the programme will be mainly looking for students originating from underprivileged groups. While this bursary is targeted towards students taking university courses, students who currently have a Grade 12 certification are also eligible for this bursary as well. The DMRE Bursary is only catered to these following list of university courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current)<\/li>\n<li>Geology<\/li>\n<li>Mining Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Health and Management<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Chemical Engineering (Mineral Processing)<\/li>\n<li>Mining Survey<\/li>\n<li>Electro-Mechanical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Metallurgical Engineering (Extractive)<\/li>\n<li>Industrial Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Find out more about the department through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dmr.gov.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Official DMRE Website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DMRE (Department of Mineral Resources and Energy) Bursary Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nThe DMRE Bursary programme is only eligible for applicants who are able to fulfill these following criteria below. Since the bursary will be providing financial assistance to support the young peoples&#8217; academic careers, the programme wants to make sure that will only be giving out their bursary to talented students who truly deserve the funding. Therefore, it is highly advisable that all interested applicants stick to the criteria below before they sign up for the bursary. Check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dmr.gov.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Official DMRE Website<\/a> for more information about the department.<\/p>\n<p>The DMRE Bursary Requirements are as follows:<\/p><!--CusAdsVi2-->\n<ul>\n<li>Must be officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Originating from underprivileged groups who desperately require financial assistance for their studies<\/li>\n<li>Are interested in the nation&#8217;s mining and minerals field<\/li>\n<li>Currently enrolled or plans to enroll in a South African University\/University of Technology<\/li>\n<li>Priority will be given to first year university students<\/li>\n<li>The bursary is not applicable for post-graduate students<\/li>\n<li>Must be a full-time student with proof of unemployment<\/li>\n<li>Selected participants will only be announced in private. DMRE holds all rights to now give out any bursary schemes to candidates who have been pre-selected for the programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply DMRE (Department of Mineral Resources and Energy) Bursary 2020<\/strong><br \/>\nOnce fulfilling all of the requirements above, candidates may now start on their applications for the DMRE (Department of Mineral Resources and Energy) Bursary.
