About Media24 – Journalism Bursaries 2020-2021
Media24 is offering bursaries for postgraduate students specializing in Journalism who are studying in either NWU, Rhodes University, Stellenbosch University, or Wits. Based in Cape Town and Joburg, the Media24 Bursaries are conducted as a means to support students to achieve their postgraduate qualifications. As a two-year bursary, one year of the busrary will be sure for the grantee’s postgraduate study, and the following year will be used for further work in Media24. Grantees will then be based in Rapport, Netwerk24, Beed, or Die Burger.
Applicants will need to prove that they have completed their undergraduate degree in any course, complete with an average aggregate score of a minimum 65% in their final year (final year students are highly encouraged to give this bursary a chance as well.) Once you have finished your 1 year studies, you will then be eligible for the Media24 Internship Programme. From there on, you will be assigned with the responsibilities as a full-time employee at any Media24 publication outlet.
