The Toyota Bursaries are given out to people who are in definite need of financial support to get through their educational pursuits. Additionally, this bursary scheme is also offered to students who show interest in Toyota’s line of work.

The Toyota Bursaries are provided for students who are currently acquiring their educational qualifications in either of these following fields, which includes:

  • Commerce
    • Business Mathematics and Informatics
    • Accounting (Non-CA) – degree must include Accounting, Taxation, Auditing and Management Accounting
    • Marketing
  • Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Mechatronics Engineering
    • Industrial Engineering
  • Science
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Business Science Analytics

In terms of its financial benefits, successful candidates will be awarded with an all-expenses paid tuition education during the entire period of their study. However, that’s not all. Awardees will also be entitled to sponsored expenses that can be used to cover their prescribed study materials, accommodation, and means of transportation. It is also expected for awardees to partake in the vacation work and also the Graduate Work Programme that comes along with this bursary scheme. Toyota Bursary Requirements
Before applying for the Toyota Bursary programme, there are a few things to take note. The application procedure that can only be done by candidates if they are able to meet the qualifications that have been set out by the committee. Regarding this eligibility criteria, it is important that candidates pay each of them with the same amount of attention and consideration. While failure to fulfill any one of these requirements may not ultimately result in instant disqualification from the application procedure, it may lessen your chances of acceptance. To be considered eligible enough for the programme, candidates must be able to pass the Toyota Bursary Requirements, which are:

  • Be legally recognized as a citizen of South Africa
  • Displays solid potential in the field of education
    • Has at least an score of 75% in their Matric examinations for the key subjects of English and Mathematics
    • Has at least an average aggregate score of 70% during their university studies*
    • *However, if the university has an average aggregate of 80%, the criteria for Matric examinations will be reduced to 65%
  • Posses strong leadership qualities
  • Able to provide proof that their total household income is worth up to R750,000/year.

How to Apply Toyota Bursary 2020
Applications for the Toyota Bursary will mainly be conducted online. First of, applicants must access StudyTrust’s Leaply platform on the internet. To access the website, you may simply click on the provided link here. After you have been redirected to the portal, you may immediately follow the provided instructions that get through the application procedure. Please be kindly informed that application seasons starts from 1 April until 31 August. Additionally, just like what it has been mentioned beforehand, only South African citizens are eligible to submit in their applications for the Toyota Bursary 2020. Last of all – late applications will not be considered for the programme at all. Therefore, we highly encourage candidates to finish up their submissions before 31 August.
