About MultiChoice Bursaries 2020-2021
MultiChoice is offering bursaries for students for students who require financial assistance in order to continue their tertiary studies in South African universities. Based in the city of Randburg, the MultiChoice Bursaries are held as a means to support the local youth through supportive education and skills mentorship. Selected awardees of the bursary will be entitled to a generous sum of financial funding that allows them to pay off almost all of their study expenses, accommodation, daily meals, prescribed study materials, and a monthly allowance.
On top of that, awardees will also be granted the change to partake in vacation work under the MultiChoice company during the students’ vacation period. This will provide them with the much needed exposure into the world of business and earn some of the knowledge that might not be able to be attained in most classroom settings. The number of MultiChoice Bursaries are awarded based on the yearly business needs that may adapt accordingly to each year. Furthermore, upon successful graduation from their studies, awardees will also need to pay back their bursary through a “year-for-a-year” employment basis.
MultiChoice Bursary Requirements

The eligibility criteria of the bursary has a purpose of making sure that they are able to filter out only the most well-deserving candidates who heavily require this financial assistance. The MultiChoice Bursary Requirements are as follows:
- Currently studying in their 2nd, 3rd, or Honours period in any of these courses below:
- Computer Engineering
- Software Engineering
- BSc Engineering (with mechatronics)
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science – BSc IT
- Information Technology (Software Development)
- Officially recognized as a citizen of South Africa complete with a proper Identity Document Book/Card
- Maintains an average score of 65% or above for all of the candidate’s subjects
- Must be a full-time student.
